Well.. I think I have had my Birchbox subscription for about four to five months now. To be honest, I have been a bit underwhelmed with the items so I will probably be canceling after next month. Sorry. Not Sorry. So as I mentioned earlier, the items sent in this month’s box are “touch up” items for the woman on the go. Do you have time to take a close look? Let’s Go!
MODSTER – Smooth Ride Supercharged Eyeliner– This is a creamy, waterproof liner. It comes in 14 different shades. I was sent black, and I did try it out, and it does go on smooth and has a bold finish that can be used for blending. One can never have enough eyeliner pencils right?. The full size retails for $20
Atelier Cologne – Vanille Insensee Absolue– This is a sample of the perfume. When it comes to vanilla fragrance, you either love it or you don’t. I will admit, this is a more subtle scent so it has just the right notes of vanilla, amber, oakwood, and jasmine. This is definitely a perfume my mom would ask to keep if I brought it home. This size sample is $3.00. If you want to get the big boy sizes, the 1 oz is $80, and the 3.3 oz retails for $130.
Davines – Ol All in One Milk– This is a leave in after shampoo hair milk. I haven’t tried it, and probably wont, but it is said to add shine, detangle, control frizz, moisturize hair, and among other things. The active natural ingredients are pro-vitamin B5 and Roucou oil. I am not too fond of the smell or the consistency of the liquid. The 1.69 fl oz retails for $17 and the full size is $32.00
LOC One & Done Shadow Stick– This is a paraben free, cruelty free shadow stick. It is intended to be used on the eyelids, but I am sure if you are creative, you can incorporate it for other makeup fixes. The stick is available in 10 different shades from warm to dark. This is a Birchbox exclusive and retails for $10.00.
Marcelle Hydra-C 24hr Energizing Hydrating Gel– This is another Birchbox exclusive. This is a lightweight gel moisturizer composed of green tea, cucumber, and vitamins C and E. I did try it out and definitely is light and blends in the skin easily. I am one that suffers from dry skin, so I hope this product will add some relief. In the picture is the sample size, the full size is 1.7 fl oz and retails for $26.00
So what did you all think of December’s Birchbox? Should I keep my subscription or cancel? It is only $10 per month. Share your comments and thoughts below
